universal unitarian earth day!!

I am excited because I stepped out of mu "box" today and it was a very positive experience. Usually on Sunday morning I put a pillow over my head and try to shut out the world as much as possible.
However, a new friend has been inviting me to attend a Universal Unitarian service. The service was comfortable and joyful(a commemoration of Earth Day). The program was presented by the young people with video from Carl Sagan and concluded with 'THE CIRCLE OF LIFE" from"The Lion King.
Thank you my friend for the invite and nudge to attend:)

new life lesson

tonight I came to the realization that the best language is unspoken --it is from the heart.
the best relationship it that of a friend-
I'd rather love than be loved.
just learning to blog!

appreciation

This is the first winter that"SAD" didn't unhinge me!One major reason is the fitness group in which I participate .It finally has become an ingrained habit to go each morning , with enthusiasm!
The dedication and expertise of our facilitators Betsy and Jean keeps attending from becoming routine.betsy's chat makes time fly.Jean revs up the program when we show signs of backsliding.
Our little group of strangers has become cohesive even tho we vary in shapes, ages, and outlook.
Annejeanette--a truly good giver of time and talent to all who need
Helen-the beauty
Jean H-nature lover and talented jewelry maker
Mary-fellow book lover
nancy-many physical ills but persists
Bruce, Al, Pete ,John Ted--welcome men trying to keep up with us.
thanks and my hat is off to all of you:)MORE ABOUT YOU LATER:)
Happy Spring--soon we will look foxy in our summer shorts.

movies of note

LUCKILY I avail myself of dvd's from my library--you must watch"Bombay" a Hindi movie with the age old theme of religious obstacles between peoples.
the next one is "CADILLAC DREAMS"' (ACTING, STORYLINE, MUSIC STIRRED MY SOUL).I would love to hear feedback on the many issues in this movie--racial injustice, heartache, etc, fantastic music.

correction to my previous post--MY 3 sons as I have a newly found adopted son -a fellow blogger who dubbed me Amma.He has honored me immensely!!

writing

thanks to Barbara at "writing from the inside out " I awoke this morning, fixed my coffee and came to write a post before losing my courage.I don't need much in this world but--how I am grateful to have an internet connection!!
firstly I apologize for a boring post and secondly for anyone I may inadvertently hurt.My first blog caused me to loose a friendship I valued but I hope I learned from it.
I am a person who concentrates more on the inner than outer world and am drawn to people a little to the left of center!!I do like them to be kind and not mean spirited. Also people from all over this planet in every color ,religion and philosophy. My favorite human beings are my 2 son who are grown and exploring their own realities. We share a love of attending Springsteen concerts-a strange family tradition!!
I am no longer young but in the aging process but aim to make the most of it.As one of my poets Nikki Giovanni said -"you have to be willing to make a fool of yourself":)
thank you for reading. I have big shoes to fill-all the bloggers I follow.
namaste! nantri!
